GY-33 is a low-cost color recognition sensor module. The working voltage is 3-5v, the power consumption is small, the volume is small, and the installation is convenient. Its working principle is that the lighting LED emits light, after illuminating the object to be measured, the return light passes through the filter to detect the RGB proportional value, and the color is recognized according to the RGB proportional value.
MCU IIC communication mode: connect the module (PinA pin S0 on the left) to GND, and the module enters IIC mode. The IIC communication clock needs to be between 40Khz and 200Khz. Read the corresponding registers, and the interval between all data reading should be less than 10hz; IIC supports “LED brightness adjustment” and “white balance calibration” for module configuration.
Sensor chip mode: connect the module (PinB pin S1 on the right) to GND. The module reserves INT, SCL and SDA pins of TCS34725 chip, which can directly control the color chip. In this mode, the MCU of the module does not set and read the color chip. The user can also control the LED brightness level of the module through the serial port or IIC.
Product application: GY-33 can be used in the following equipment: intelligent robots, teaching laboratory instruments, product testing of production lines, colorimeters, and led color testing.
The module I/O is TTL level, which can be directly connected to the serial port of the single chip microcomputer, PL2303, CH340, FT232 and other chips, but cannot be directly connected to the nine pin serial port of the computer.
